I would say that you should discuss with the parents. There are many different factors like how many children what age (infants and toddlers are harder), how in demand you are, what type of neighborhood you live in (is it a wealthy neighborhood?). Most of this I have recently learned from researching on the web as I am trying to learn about babysitting to... I am taking a course in 2008.
