How much will a speeding ticket for doing 75 mph in a 55 mph zone cost? |
[Edit] |
Answer
It may depend on the jurisdiction, rule of thumb is one dollar for every mile over the limit. That would be twenty dollars, but you also have to add in the court costs which you pay whether you actually attend court or not. A reasonable guess would be fifty dollars, making your ticket cost seventy dollars. There should be a telephone number on the ticket for a county clerk, etcetera, they will be able to give you the exact cost.
