The price you pay will depend on the dealer you go to, how effectively you can negotiate a discount, what options you want or extras you want. I found one site that said that a base price was $33,000 for a GTO, though.
i think the GTO has the LS2 6.2 That depends on what your idea of a Pontiac engine is. The "New" Pontiac GTO was available with the 6.0 engine. If you are talking about a traditional Pontiac engine, the largest factory offered engine is the 455 from 1970-1976.
They made the gto from 1964 to 1974 then they came out with the small gto. The last of the new series of GTOs rolled off the line June 14, 2006.

In 1967, the Pontiac GTO received a mechanical upgrade. In addition to both new interior and exterior features, the engine was also upgraded to a 335hp 400ci engine with optional ram air.
GTO was an option in 1964 and returned to option status in '73 and '74. So, you could say GTO's were produced from 1964 to 1974. I am not including the more recent years purposely as I do do not consider them part of the same group. Nothing against the new GTO's...
The base coupe was $2,935. A converible was a couple hundred more.
The cost of a Pontiac G5 will all depend on buying new or used. New it could cost between 16,000 and 20,000 and used between 7,000 and 11,000. Aslo what the engine size is.

The new GTO was made in Australia by Holden of GM Australia. The old GTO's were naturally made in the USA.
per Wikipedia... " Although Pontiac had strenuously promoted the GTO in advertising as the "GTO Tiger," it had become known in the youth market as the "Goat." Pontiac management attempted to make use of the new nickname in advertising but were vetoed by upper management, which was dismayed by its irreverent tone" It is thought it started simply because "goat" was easier to say than the 3 sylables of G T O . also, there was a saying to go along with the nickname: "Goats will eat anything."
The range of price for a new Pontiac Torrent is very large. At the low end of the spectrum the cost is about 25,000 dollars. A more expensive Pontiac Torrent would be about 31,000 dollars.
They dont make them anymore.
