Subaru recommends changing it every 105,000 miles or every 10 years whichever comes first. Warning: This is an interference engine and as such if the belt breaks you will have internal engine damage.
Your owner's manual will give the difinitive answer to this question. Advice I have been given and that I follow is 100k miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. --Ken
It would be best to change the timing belt at or before 100k miles.
6000 miles
it should be changed every 100,000 miles
The oil in your subaru forester should normally be changed every 10000 miles or if diffrent will state it in your user manual. On most occassions the car will tell you when it is due for a service or oil change by displaying a symbol like a spanner that flashes or by some other form which will easily be recognized as a service.
The 2009 Subaru Forester takes a fairly specialized 14" rear wiper blade that is often difficult to find in stock at stores. See sources and related links below for more information on the wiper blade itself and for an installation video. Installation is simple once you have the correct fitting wiper blade.
It's often a thermistor (temperature sensitive resistor) located inside the MAF sensor housing.
Subaru says 105,000 miles. Far be it for me to contradict the engineers, that sounds like a lot, it's the most I have ever heard of. And it IS an interference engine. If it breaks, the valves will collide with pistons= blown engine
the more often the better, haha, i would consult your owners manual, i like to change mine at around the 3000 mile mark, or at least twice a year for a car not driven much. you can go longer if you use synthetic oil, i'de say 5-7000 miles, and remember to change your oil filter too.
As long as there's gas in the tank it will run forever. Of course regular maintenance will be needed to be done often such as oil changes, fuel filter, coolant, and maybe a spark plug change eventually. Glad to help
Manual transmissions do not typically have dipsticks --I believe that thy run on gear lubricant that doesnot wear out often or escape the trans.
The recommended replacement for the Timing Belt (aka Camshaft Drive Belt) on the H-4 is 48 months or 60,000 miles. The 3.0 Liter H-6 has Timing Chains with no Periodic Inspection and/or replacement required.....
how often do i have to change the timing belt on my rover400
