Depending on the type of tree and the temprature it is growing in water requirements will vary. Start off by giving the plant a good soak and then when the surface of the soil is dry water again and leave till the surface dries again. Always water well when you water it and then leave it be until the next time. If the atmosphere is very dry spray the leaves at least once a day with a fine mist of water.
