Penicillin is a prescription medication and should be given as directed. There is no advise that should be followed other than what the medication instructions say because the dose is for the individual animal.

When I had my pug, she got bit by a snake when she was outside one day. The area abscessed and became infected. I gave her 2ml in the morning and 2 ml in the evening. I also gave her 2 amoxicillins a day (one with each dose of PCN)

This will depend upon the type of penicillin you are giving - dose frequency generally ranges between 2 and 4 times a day. If you have questions about administering a medication to your dog, you should call your vet and ask for clarification.

The shot stays in there system for roughly a week. I give mine a shot every 4 or 5 days, after tail docking and dew claw removal.
