they can say it at any time. jeez, they can say it when they're 2! but to let them move there... that's the parents decision. both of theirs, actually.
You have to be 18.
The relative has to take custody, you can't say that you want to live with them.
I believe after the age of twelve, you can say no to where you live if you have a choice between homes
no
yeah
Yes they do,
You can't actually choose until you are old enough to live alone. You can usually tell the court which parent you want to live with, and if the court agrees they can direct a change.
you can live with them for as long as you want although it would be weird. i moved out when i was 25
You bet he is! Obviously he doesn't want anything to do with his father. It is up to you as his mother to sit down with him, assure it alright to tell you how he feels about his father and then decide. Your husband may just be strict with him, or, your son may have good reason for not wanting to be around his father.
I would say it would depend on how old you are and possibly where you live.
Children that can speak for themselves have a lot of say in the courts as to where they want to live. It's best to sit down with both your parents and express your feelings and tell them why you want to either live with your father or your mother. Don't forget ... they are your parents, so you are going to hurt one of them by doing so, but it's important you live with who you feel the most comfortable with. Also, if you don't want to live with either parent you don't have to live with either one of them if it goes to court and if your grandparents were willing to look after you that can be taken into consideration in the courts. Tell the court about it.
