In Florida, you can began working at the age of 14 without a work permit. There are limitations to when you can work. When public school is in session, minors may work a maximum of 3 hours per day on school days and up to 8 hours per day on Saturday, 8 hours on Sunday and 8 hours on non-school days when a school day does not follow. You can only work 15 hours a week (7 day periond). May work between the hours of 7am and 7pm. NO work during public school hour.

June 1st through Labor Day you can work up to 8 hours per day 40 hours per week between 7am and 9pm.

You can do yard work and other conventional things before you reach this age. You can work as a Golf caddy. For most jobs for minors minimum wage is offered.
