How old do you have to be to mentor a child?

It depends on where you are. Some countries have legislation for this others do not.

The common and legal definition of a child is anyone 0 to 18 years old. Personally, I call only those ages 0 to 12 children and people ages 13-19 teenagers or adolescents.
