There are no age restrictions on being a godparent. A godparent is one who stands alongside the true parents of the infant being baptised and vow themselves as surety to the child's faith. This means that as the child grows the godparents are to watch over the child (originally in a religious sense but now it is become more non focused strictly on religion) and act as a mentor should the child become wayward or his/her parents neglectful.

Since this is a task best not left to children most would ask someone of a responsible age to take on this honor. I personally have known godparents between the ages of 13 to 60ish. It is purely up to the parents to decide who should be asked, and at what age.

Probaly 18 or older someone who is responsible
There really isn't a specific age, it depends on who you know that's having the baby. To be an official godparent you probably have to be over 18 to be a caretaker.
