He is actually 9 because of his height and weight. But the reason Lucas made him 9 is because he is actually 10 but they made him 9 because he looked 9 and weighed 9. When Hayden Christensen played Anakin in both episode 1 and 2, I think in episode 2 he was 29 or something. In episode 3 it think hes about 32 or 31. I don't know!
I asked Jake Lloyd and he told me that the character young Anakin was 10 years old in that movie. So Ep. 2 Anakin would be 20 because in the movie he said he hasn't seen Padme for 10 years as for Ep. 3 on who knows.
