Since the Grim Reaper is a symbolic character for death, then he is probably as old as life.



It all depends on what you believe. In the christian sense god did not have death until after Adam and eve were turned out of the garden of Eden. Some believe in the story of the Frog and the Toad, where god gave the frog a jar that contained death, and left it with him for safe keeping. Toad broke the jar one day and death was unleashed. Others believe it was when Satan was cast to rule in hell when he was banished from heaven. Of course, if you don't take the religious route, death has been alive since the dinosaurs haha :P
