David fought Goliath as no one was willing to fight Goliath.
A:1 Samuel 17:4 calls Goliath a champion of the Philistines, suggesting that he was a great warrior who had indeed fought before. On the other hand, serious historians do not regard the story of David and Goliath as based on fact. Even Chronicles, in recounting the story of David, entirely omits the story of David and Goliath, suggesting that the Chronicler did not really believe the story. Historically, the giant Goliath had never fought before and did not fight David.
Around seventeen, I think. He had fought bears and lions defending his sheep, but was still too young to be in the army.
In the bible the battle between Goliath and David was fought on the plains called Ela also called the Valley of Elah. The full story can be found in 1 Samuel 17.
Bane. Bane had a venom but Goliath fought David as a giant. Goliath is weaker. Bane is smarter. Plus, Bane could wreck Goliath's armor. Goliath is even worse. If Goliath's armor is wrecked, then Bane could tear up his hair and knock Goliath out for 3 days. Bane is better. Goliath can try to cut his head off. But Bane could wreck Goliath's sword. Goliath is the coward.

When David the shepherd boy and the giant Goliath fought each other in valley , it is very possible that as david was a boy then and a shepherd by profession he could have been 17 years old at the most.
The Bible does not specifically say how old he was but it does call him a "youth," which probably means about 12-16 years old.

David.
Goliath is stronger than Batman. If Batman and Shredder were on a team, both of them win. But Shredder by himself, I don't think so. Goliath is invincible for Batman. If David fought him, no. Goliath could win Batman too. If you were Goliath fighting Batman, yes! But Shredder and Batman. he's not invincible on for 2 or more people.
