There are many ways, but one of the biggest is that greenhouse gasses are depleting the ozone layer in the Poles which is melting ice and rising sea levels, so the penguins, seals and polar bears are running out of ice to live on.

Pollution is not effecting animals much right now. I can say that it can make them a bit sick, but only if trash or polluted water is consumed. But otherwise they ar fine.
