-Elizabeth Taylor is the only person I've SEEN with violet eyes, so far.

Yes! Green eyes are actually one of the rarest eye colours out there. Some may argue that violet eyes are, but really, violet eyes (I won't get too technical) are blue eyes but the way that the blood vessels are make them appear to have a purple tint. Excluding violet eyes, only 1-2% of the world has green eyes, many of Celtic/German descent. Furthermore, anybody who is born with green eyes usually also have blonde hair. So, the fact that you have brown hair also makes you more rare. I have the same thing - I have dark brown hair with emerald green eyes and people tell me as well that I have a rare face. Many believe that blue eyes are more rare - but think about it - how many people do you personally know with green eyes?

It is very unlikely, and I would say no but I do not know for sure. I do know that a baby is born with blue eyes if both parents have blue eyes, and that brown eyes are a dominant gene, soo.. curiously enough, blue is a rare eye colour. The order of common to rare: brown Hazel blue and blue-gray green violet (yes it is possible, Elizabeth Taylor had violet eyes)
