How remove stereo qx4?

Start by prying out the AC vent assembly that is at the top of the dash above the section with the stereo in it. Once out, you will see the first set of screws that need to be removed to further remove the wood grain panels surrounding the stereo, which in turn reveals the screws that actually hold the stereo in place. Once the stereo is unscrewed, you can disconnect the many plugs in the back. Realize that with all of this stuff torn apart, you won't have functional signal lights, so if you are planning to take a while to fix the stereo, you should put the panel back together temporarily.
