How safe to install the free file viewer that just works internet review. Since my anti virus is notifying me?

DO NOT DO IT MAN!!! I thought it would be safe, but when i installed it, i automatically knew something was wrong. It keeps asking you to download these toolbars and crap during the installation, you can just hit declline and it will install. But it installs 3 separate programs that just put a bunch of crap on your PC, it doesnt even work and I uninstalled everything instantly.
