Do you have long or short hair? Indoors or outdoors wedding? Weddings vary greatly and so do personal styles. Without knowing more about the venue and your hair it would be hard to give any advice. Since my hair is dead straight, I usually like to curl it for dressing up. I've never looked very good in updo's but if it looks good on you a messy bun or updo would be great for just about any wedding.
