You can pregnant as soon as you ovulate. Some women ovulate four to six weeks after delivery. Others (particularly breast feeding moms) may have their first ovulation much later. How can you tell if you've ovulated? If you have a period. Unfortunately, this is not a good way to predict when you will need contraception. To avoid pregnancy soon after birth: 1. Avoid sexual intercourse for 6 weeks after delivery. This will also allow the uterus to involute properly, the vaginal tissues to heal, and decrease the risk of a uterine infection. 2. Discuss contraception with your doctor before you leave the hospital. If you plan to go on the pill, a prescription can be given to you at this time and you can start it at the appropriate time. If you plan to use depoprovera or get an IUD, let your doctor know so he or she can discuss timing with you. 3. DO NOT DEPEND on breast feeding for contraception. Unless you are breast feeding around the clock without supplementation, you probably won't get a protective effect. Even then, you can still ovulate and conceive at any time. 4. Use condoms if there's any possibility of conceiving.

Depends upon health and physical strength. In India and Nepal it is observed that generally females are ready for pragnant on around three months of delivery. In some cases it has also been observed that atleast 6 and above months are required.

How soon can you get pregnant after giving birth by c section?

As soon as your first ovulation gives you a fat juicy egg to fertilize. I'm not sure why you attach significance to the C-section? Phil The same as a woman who gives birth vaginally......IMMEDIATELY.....you are extremely fertile after giving birth & can get pregnant at any time, even without having the telltale period.

What happens if a woman becomes pregnant while in the military?

Most of the time, she gives birth and goes on with her career. There are some limitations on specific duties a pregnant woman can be assigned to, depending on how far along the pregnancy is, and these limitations change. For example, in the 1960's, if you got pregnant, you were discharged, period. Today, most restrictions concern working in or around hazardous areas or materials, and when a woman is removed from sea duty prior to birth. Other than that, no real difference than what happens when a civilian woman gets pregnant.

Pregnant after 4 mos of giving birth?

Each individual woman's body is different. The healing process after giving birth and hormonal level returning to homeostasis may be different for each woman and possibly each individual delivery for that woman. The woman's body can return to normal and ovulate very quickly after giving birth. It is advised that a woman lets her body heal for at least four to six weeks before engaging in intercourse again. At the time of resumed intercourse, if the woman is ovulating, they may become pregnant.
