Pregnancy Symptoms
All women are different. Some start to feel symptoms right away. Others never really feel any symptoms.
Here are some responses from WikiAnswers participants:
- Might be because you stopped taking the pill rather than being pregnant; this has happened to me before. I always get sensitive/sore nipples when I stop taking the pill or change it. But take a test if you miss your period. It took 5 weeks before my nipples got sensitive when I was pregnant. But only 1 week for me to start drinking loads of water milk and fruit juice, and eating cornflakes which I never normally do.
- Well, I started to feel most of the symptoms about 2 weeks after I conceived.
- Many women begin noticing slight symptoms within a day or two of implantation, which usually occurs 7-10 days after conception (not necessarily the same as 7-10 days after sex!). The pregnancy hormone, HCG, is not present in the bloodstream until after implantation, and can be detected by an early home-pregnancy test as soon as 10 days past ovulation if pregnancy has occurred. After implantation, some women begin to feel the typical signs of early pregnancy -- sore breasts, slight nausea, etc.
A friend of mine swears she always knew she was pregnant even before she missed her period, because her sinuses started acting up for no reason with all three of her pregnancies -- several days before her period was due. It's really very different for every woman. Having no early symptoms is normal, but having several is normal, too.
