Don't bath her - she will be stressed out to be parted from her pups and the pups will be stressed because they won't recognise her scent. If she is very messy after the birth, wait until it has dried and try giving her a quick brush if it doesn't upset her. Best to interfere as little as possible for the first 3 weeks at least.

You could certainly bathe her the following day. Just make sure to use a blow dryer on a WARM setting to make sure she is completely dry and doesn't get chilled. Do not use any insecticidal dips on a nursing bitch.

They do not need a bath if their mother is present. In any case, you would want to wait until their eyes are open and they are eating on their own. It is too easy to cause pneumonia in young animals.

Puppies cannot regulate their own body temperatures and, until they can at about 3 weeks, it's unwise to get them completely wet for fear they could get chilled, get hypothermia and die. Even after they can regulate their own body temperatures you should still take care to never allow a puppy (or dog but especially puppies) to stay wet for long in cold or mild weather. Always dry them thoroughly and be certain they're not shivering when you're completed. If they are, keep them someplace warm and dry. With puppies, a heating pad underneath half a box (so they can escape the heat if it gets to be too much) on medium, or a hot water bottle wrapped in a hand towel placed in their kennel can provide the extra needed heat to prevent chilling.

You can give your Momma dog a nice warm bath right after she whelps out all the pups and all the after births have passed. Do not use a flea shampoo as that will stick on to her nipples and not be good for the pups to nurse on. Just use a neutral type of dog shampoo. Don't use human shampoo as too drying for a dog. But do make sure she is free from all fleas and ticks on her body. If she is loaded with fleas, then use a flea shampoo but rinse her very very good. You should talk to your Veterinarian about this if she does have fleas on her as fleas are the intermediate host for tapeworms.

Check all the pups too and make sure they are flea free.

you shouldn't, it might drown due to the muscles being weakened by pregnancy.
