I'm 8 weeks pregnant and I haven't gained any weight and my belly isn't any bigger is this normal?

Hi,
You may start showing at 8 weeks. Every woman is different. You may not have gained any weight by now, or you may have already gained a few pounds. It depends on your body type and health habits (don't eat too much). Usually, the baby bump appears at about 12 weeks or so, sometimes sooner, sometimes later (usually if it is your first baby)

∙ 12y agowell every person is different on how fast their belly starts growing but from personal experience, I've been pregnant twice, it usually starts at about 4 months when u really notice the change.

∙ 12y agoI'm only 6 weeks pregnant and showing. it's not necessarily the 'baby' that's showing like in later months - you're uterus is swelling and growing and taking up space in the pelvic cavity, therfore pushing your other abdominal organs up and out which gives the rounded effect to your tummy. you could possibly be pretty full of gas too which is a rather common side effect of pregnancy. on the other hand, it could be a multiple pregnancy if your uterus is growing at a faster pace. it's hard to tell whether its your uterus or your other organs/gas - so best to get a scan to find out!

Yes, I talked to a young woman who had been through this. She got her period just like normal and so did not know that she was pregnant until she was eight months pregnant. Also, her stomache didn´t really look any bigger. She gained 7 lbs and it was the baby, she didn´t gain any extra weight. I have also seen online that other women have gotten their periods while pregnant, but they did not say whether or not they knew that they were pregnant.

if uve taken pregnancy tests and they were negative ur definitely not pregnant enough to be showing. altho it is possible to be several months pregnant and still have bleeding every 4 weeks or so. this is caused by background hormones. ur body is still immitating the bleeding it used to do. so if u havent tested its possible that u are a couple months pg.
