Probably stronger than Spiderman! Just watch the first Spiderman movie. Spiderman NEARLY GETS BEATEN by the Green Goblin. I haven't watched it in a while, but I don't even know how Spiderman managed to beat the Green Goblin. In about 3/5 battles and clashes that Spiderman and Green Goblin had in the movie, Spiderman was the one who ended up falling, getting knocked out, bleeding getting his suit torn while Green Goblin keeps laughing and flying in his fancy flying-board.

Yeah, Spiderman had pretty..brutal beginning as a hero. Spiderman's second enemy, Doc Ock wasn't that bad speaking to the fact that he and Doc Ock comprimised and Dock Ock chose to repent of his villanious ways.

According to the films his webbing is as strong as high-tensile steel. Which has a yield strength range of 50,000 to 100,000 pounds per square inch. We see how strong it is in the films when it holds up an entire trame full of people in the first film, and stops a run away train in the second. It shows that it is even strong enough to pull a brick wall apart in the second film when he doesn't apply enough to stop the train.

While in the comics Peter Parker made his own webbing and thus is as strong as Peter (or the writers) wants it to be. The webbing has gotten stronger over the years. More than likely due to the fact he has perfected the chemical make-up of the webbing. It has been shown to be weak enough in early years to be snapped apart by Doctor Octopus with little effort. While recently it has been shown to be strong enough to hold entire buildings together, or hold characters as strong as the HULK and Iron Man captive (for a short time at least.)

Spider-Man's webbing has proven to be stronger then steel cables. His webbing has catched up to hundreds of tons in objects. With enough webbing Spider-man could pin down the Hulk. His webbing is also fire proof and can be molded into shields to block flamethrower's and bullets. Easily able to incapacitate thugs and criminals and has pinned down some of the more stronger heroes in Marvel.

The only way Spidey's webbing can be taken off is to wait an hour, the webbing automatically dissolves by then (Spidey can't just leave helpless victims to be trapped in webbing forever). Although in the Spectacular Spider-man TV series (where his webbing is MUCH weaker) Spidey has joked that his webs come off with icing or peanut butter. But I'm sure he was just joking.
