Wonder Woman was granted a number of special gifts and powers at the time of her birth. Among flight, speed, wisdom and others, the gods granted her the 'strength of the earth'. When asked about her strength, Diana herself commented that it was difficult to find weights heavy enough to challenge her making her limits hard to determine. She has been shown to be stronger than a fully mature martian like Martian Manhunter, and is known to be 'stronger than Hercules' which puts her above Shazam/Captain Marvel as well. She is likely the most physically strong of all the DC heroes second only, perhaps, to Superman (whom she has fought to a standstill on several occasions).

If you are really asking "Can Wonder Woman take Superman in a fight?" the answer is: she has, at least twice that I can think of: during the Checkmate series, and in the storyline where Circe turns all the male superheroes into animals. Both times Superman was animalistic, so he was NOT holding back.

To address the above answer:

Superman is from Krypton, but Wonder Woman is divinely powered: Superman, and Martian Manhunter get their powers from their alien physiology, but Dr Fate, the Spectre, Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel (to name a few) get their powers from Divinity (whether it's Yawheh or "the Source" or the Olympians is a moot point). Wonder Woman has super-speed and strength, too, and is a better fighter. She's smarter, too.

To address the last, sexist point: whoever wrote it is obviously hating on women: her gender has NOTHING to do with her power level.
