It's actually a lot easeir than it seems. Find the 2 wheels on the top of your deck that use the pulley motion. On the bottom side of the deck of these pulley wheels are the blade nuts. You will need a 7/8" box end wrench, preferably 2 of them. Simply, loosen the nuts with wrench, you may want another one to tightly hold the nut on the top side of the deck. You may have to spray them with wd-40 or some other lubricant to loosen. Also while trying to loosen the old blade, the motion of this will try to spin the blade. I found the easiest way to prevent this is to have a friend use their foot to force against the loosening. Once removed on both sides, most lawn tractors have 2 blades, clear out any trash or other debris that may have gotten spun between the blade and deck. Apply a little more wd-40 and reattatch new blades. The cut motion is clockwise so be sure not to install blades upside down. easy enough to do by yourself, but 2 people is a lot easier. All you need is the wrench, some lubricant, and if you cant find a friend, a cement or wood block to force against the loosening. Good luck.

One must first park the riding lawnmower on an even surface and set the parking brakes. Then raise the cutting deck to the highest setting possible and make sure the height level is in place so the mower does not fall while you are working on it. One must then loosen the blade nut, the washers, blades and adapters. You can now put on the new blades. Be sure to remember how you took it off so it all can be put back together properly!

Before removing the blade make sure the spark plug is disconnected. Then remove the nut that attaches the blade to the deck.
