Intercoolers will keep air and engine cooler. Allowing the exhaust gases to freely flow from the cylinder will increase power as well. High flow exhaust systems including high flow catalytic converter, resonator, muffler and big exhaust pipes all help in removing the exhaust fumes rapidler. Alot of people think they want more Horse Power when what they are really looking for is Torque. Torque pins you to your seat right of the start. Horse Power has a delayed effect that starts pulling you back into your seat slowly but builds at an increasing rate. Horsepower is less predictable than torque. Increasing oxygen to the engine will increase both torque and horsepower, but there are other ways to get a feeling of more torque like using lower gears in the rear-end...this may however produce poorer gas mileage.
