To get a smoky eye you first need to prime your eyelid. Next, apply a neutral color base shadow. then line your eye with a liner and soften the liner. Lastly, apply black eye shadow then your regular eye shadow.

I recommend grey smoky eye-shadow or you could go for a dark green shimmery shadow.
