You would have to trade it from Pokemon red (possibly blue) version, there is a special extensive glitch in which you can catch a level 5 mew, in order to do this you would probably have to restart your old game (unless you avoided many battles) if you plan on doing this i would recommend trading any important Pokemon over to crystal version so they don't get deleted, i also recommend using the infinite item cheat in red version to get rare candies, hp ups, pp ups, carbos, calcium, protein, and iron. in order to make your mew super amazing before trading it over. another tip would then to use crystal's duplicate Pokemon glitch to get many of these super mews (beware using this cheat though because it can cause a glitch, the name will appear as ??????????, just release this and try again)

You cannot catch Mew in Pokémon LeafGreen however you would've been able to receive one during a distribution that had ended however players who have one of the 3rd Generation games (Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, LeafGreen, Emerald) would be able to trade you Mew if they were one of the ones who had received one of the distributed Mew.

u first get the physic tail then u go to lavaridge and talk to the old lady then u go to maville and talk to the gymleader and mew will appear in your room and a master ball will be on your bed

If you wanna get mew you have to have a Pokemon that knows teleport. Then go to cerulean and DO not fight the person in The grass in the left and the person looking up in the upper direction with a lvl 17 slowpoke. Go to the person in the grass and when you press down immedietly press start and have your Pokemon (Abra i recommend) teleport you to the cerulean Pokemon cener you will notice the ! On the persons head. Then fight the person with the level 17 slowpoke and teleport once more. Go to the bridge again and prepare for battle with ultra mew! ( lv7 and no hacking or cheating devices so its absolutely safe) i did this 5 times and it worked for my game. Happy mew capturing!

First you have to Beat the Elite Four. Then help Bill fix the machine on One Island.

What to do now is to fly to Cerulean City and enter the cave that the guy was previously guarding. Now just follow all of the ladders and you should find Mewtwo.

Caution: Mewtwo is at level 80 so make sure you either have a Master Ball or level up your Pokemon to levels between 70+. Be sure to stock up on Full Restore and be sure to save before and after the battle!
