Jack up the car,(not under the lower control arm). The following bolts need to be removed. The two bolts that connect the strut to the spindle assembly. The small bolt that secures the brake hose to the strut. The nut that holds the sway bar link. (This one can be nasty). The three nuts on top of the strut (accessed from under the hood). Pry the lower control arm down and you should be able to pull the strut out of there. Now for the fun part. The new strut comes without a spring and you will have to remove the sprint from the old strut. This can be dangerous and you will need spring compressors in order to do it. You will most likely need an air wrench to remove the large nut on top (after compressing the spring with the spring compressors). A word of caution----- Before compressing and removing the spring, make alignment marks everywhere possible. Where the spring lines up with the lower saddle. Where the spring lines up with the top, etc. The absolute alignment of these parts is more critical on this particular car than most and failure to do so can result in the strut rod wearing out very fast. Good Luck
There are shock absorbers in the front on a 1998 Lincoln Town Car
The front blower resistor on a 98 Dodge Caravan is replaced by removing the cover and disconnecting the wiring harness. The resistor can then be pulled and a new one put in its place.
If it's a 98 or prior, It will have shock's all around which you can do yourself easily.
Unscrew it.
Any struts from Escort years of 97-02.
It is on right front fender, near lid for washer fluid.
If you don't have the right tools don't attempt to change your struts. Getting the struts of is, easy but you have to have a spring compressor once you get them off also you need a workbench with a vice to remove the spring. Very Dangerous without proper tools.
