I would caution that vinegar is an acid and could pit your silver teapot, especially if it is silverplated. I've used vinegar with porcelain teacups and pots but only if it really needed it cause vinegar etches the finish making stains penetrate more easily next time. Rinsing out soon after use is a better preventive.

Leave it overnight filled with vinegar

There's nothing to it.

Get about 4Tbs baking soda and put it in the teapot.

Pour in just enough water to make the baking soda into a slush or concentrated solution

Next, Scrub at it with a tooth brush.

In about 5minutes it will be clean as new.

I always use a spoonful of clothes washing powder in the teapot. Fill with hot water then leave to soak until the stains come away. Make sure you rinse the teapot thoroughly before using again!

I use 5 or 6 tablets of denture cleaner in the pot with hot water. let it soak for several hours.. after that use a bottle washing type brush to brush away the stains that will need a little extra scrub. afterwards, just rinse several times with hot water and it should be sparkling clean.

Stainless steel can get discolored or stain if not given the proper care, but it is actually really simple. Since you are going to be drinking the contents of this, make sure to clean it with dishsoap and warm water to prevent bacteria build up and corrosion. A side note: if you want to make your stainless steel appliances shine wipe it dry.

Does silver plated have any value?

First of all, theres no such thing as "silver plated sterling". Sterling is 92.5% silver, anything plated is just plated. If the item is solid sterling silver, its metal value depends on the current price of silver - but it may be worth more as a collectible. If it's plated base metal it has very little value.
