The correct way to ask your horse to go forward is to relax your hands and squeeze gently with both lower legs. The legs should never 'kick' the horse's sides. You can add a little 'cluck' and that verbally reinforces the leg aid. Don't forget to relax your hands. If your hands tighten up they may pull back on the reins a little and the message to your horse will be mixed. The legs said move forward but the hands said whoa. A lot of people when first learning to ride raise their hands and shake the reins. In their inexperience they think shaking the reins means go. As skills improve they learn most riding comes from the legs and seat.
As with all forward impulsion, it is asked with legs and seat. Be sure not to 'throw away' his head though.
If you didn't have recently images or thougths about unicorns then it could mean that your higher self protects you from your impulsion.
A horse obviously cannot grasp a towing conveyance, so in order to move an object it needs the assistance of a horse harness. In the case of the harness, the horse pushes forward to move the cart, however basic physics define this as pulling the cart. Yes, the horse is pushing forward, but it is pushing the harness, NOT the cart. The cart is being PULLED by the harness with the horse providing the energy to move the cart. Some mistakenly believe this means the horse pushes the cart, but they are mistaken. With the weight of the cart (mass) being moved forward (force) from behind the energy source (horse), by definition the cart is being PULLED, regardless of the horse's type of energy exerted on the connecting harness.
Yes it is nessasary to pull the horse forward because it gets rid of skin folds under the strap that can cause wounds to your horse!!!

In wagon pulling, there is a harnessing system involved which is attached to the breast of the horse. When a horse pulls forward, the harness, which is attached to the wagon moves with him as well, therefore moving the wagon forward.
As the horse exerts greater force, both horse and cart move, accelerating from zero to some velocity. During that acceleration the net forward force on the horse must be greater than the net backward force on the horse. And also, the net forward force on the cart must be greater than the net backward force on the cart. This is from Newton's second law
yes
A sudden wish or urge eg He bought her flowers on a sudden impulse; the idea just poppd into his head.
When a horse refuses to go forward it's called napping or being nappy.
to control your horse on my horse club u use the up and down arrows to go forward and back and your mouse to turn it left and right
A half-halt is a give-take motion on the outside rein, which applies and then releases pressure in one rein, to re-balance the horse. Half-halts are usually used to slow down the excitebale horse; to help in collecting the motion and getting the horse into a frame (on the bit); to re-balance a novice horse, especially in downwards transitions e.g. canter-trot. They are typically used every time the rider sits, to give more weight to the motion. When used to slow the horse, the leg is not applied - when used to re-balance or collect the horse, the leg is used to create impulsion.
