We hooked up the battery wrong , positive to negative and negative to positive and the motor still turned over but would noy start. Why did this happen ? This is a 1999 gas Golf cart ez go.
Not being sure of your golf cart voltage, I will give it a try. Count the caps on on batteries, each cap is two volts, so if you have three caps per battery, you have a 6 volt battery. Now count the batteries and multiply by battery voltage, 6 batteries times 6 volts equals a 36 volt system, and so on. You may only charge 12 at time with your charger, so you will have to remove a few battery to battery cables. The cables start with a positive post go to the main system of the cart, with it's neg post connected to the pos. post of the next battery in line, a so on until the last battery in line neg. post goes to the main system of the cart, making a full circle. You must separate the batteries in to 12 volt groups with the main system cables discounted from the main system to prevent damage to it. Remove the neg. cable first, and install it last, safety thing. Need more help contact me through my board and I will try to help.
To set distributor timing on a VS 96 Golf 2.0, hook the timing gun up to the power. Ground the terminals on the battery and hook the sensor that accompanies the timing gun to the number one cylinder spark plug wire.
making an in to out swing.
a forecaddie does not carry a golf bag but rather rides on the back of the golf cart or runs ahead of the golf cart on every hole. His job is the same as any other caddie because a forecaddie still rakes bunkers, gives hole descriptions, reads greens, and cleans clubs. then at the end of the round the golfers hook you up with cold hard cash. depending on the course you work at a caddie or forecaddie will make primo money.
hook a battery to it
Hook positive up first, negative last.
Hook up a battery charger to it.
There is a hook on the end of the slide hook it onto the loop inside the carb.
Take a voltmeter and hook it up to the battery posts and read what the voltage is. It should be 12 volts or more. Now start the motorcycle and check the voltage, if it goes up, it's charging. If not, check the battery to make sure it is not dry.

Yes there is a way. Make 2 sets of 3 batteries in series (+ of one battery gets connected to - of other) Now connect the to sets in parallel. Connecting the 3 in series will add the voltage to 36, connecting the two sets will keep the voltage the same but increase the capacity. Check here for more info http://www.engineersedge.com/battery/battery_series_parallel_connections.htm
A person can hook up a cooling fan to a battery by connecting the hot or positive lead to the positive side of the battery. The negative lead wire is then connected to the negative side of the battery.
