How to keep friends that are younger than you and are all you have?

Answer

Sorry, don't know what happened, but sent off an answer to your post and it didn't go through. Hopefully, I'll remember what I said.

Good friends of any age are loyal and there for you. Everyone mixes well at the local bar, night clubs, dancing, movies, etc., and most young people like to be active, so be prepared. Humor is one thing that binds us all together no matter what the ages and let us not forget "music!"

My husband and I have friends from the ages of 25 - 85 and we get along fine with all of them. We don't expect our younger or older friends to hang around every waking moment with us and actually my husband and I prefer some "head space" of our own and can entertain ourselves quite well. We have younger friends over often and we mix it with humor and they love the laughter and wisdom we can pass down to them and we love the wisdom their youth brings to us. Just because you are young doesn't mean you don't have a lot of wisdom. Our younger friends keep us young and full of fun and our older friends keep us balanced and full of grace. We're lucky!
