Paragraph summarising the very first stages of puppy training;
Training puppies is a difficult stage and involves consistent work and patience. You must start off very simply and ensure all breakable or hazardous objects from the training area (preferably a wide, open space) are removed. Please take into account, your puppies' first training sessions will be frustrating which is why it is strictly important that aggressiveness towards the dog is kept to a low level.
A puppy can be a real joy to have around, but there are some negative aspects to them as well. They will chew your favorite shoes, poop on the living room carpet, cry in the middle of the night and generally do things that dogs were born to do. They don’t come equipped with instincts that help them adapt to living inside a house with people, so you will need to help them learn. Especially in an urban setting, puppies need to be trained in basic obedience early, so they don’t run into problems later in life.
The first thing to remember is that a puppy will respond better to positive reinforcement rather than negative. This means encouraging good behavior through the use of praise and rewards. Treats are a great tool when training a dog. Knowing a dog’s natural instincts can also be very helpful.
When beginning potty training your dog, it is important to keep in mind that a dog’s natural instinct is to keep its sleeping area clean. Designate the sleeping area by keeping your puppy in large crate or a penned area for the first few months. Pick out an area outside that you would like to designate as the “toilet.” At the same times every day, carry your puppy out to the “toilet” or walk it out on its leash. When you reach the “toilet” area, walk around, repeating a cue word or phrase such as “hurry up.” Be patient and wait until the puppy is completely finished. When your puppy is completely emptied out, compliment her and give her a treat.
After potty time, your puppy can be allowed some supervised play time in the house. After play time, return the puppy to its pen or crate. Continue on this schedule for the first few months to get the puppy used to using the “toilet.” It is also helpful to get the puppy on an eating schedule that compliments the potty schedule. For instance, don’t feed your puppy close to bedtime and take his water away during the night. Be sure to replace it first thing in the morning.
you have to be very patient and consistant a puppy that age is still a baby dont expect too much
LOTS OF TREATS! Puppies are more willing to focus on what you are teaching them if you reward them with a small cube of cheese, a sliver of an uncooked hot dog, or any other small treat.
You start with small things like sit stay come here but only one at a time for several days and reward with small treats,please use small treats so he/she won`t get sick.
