first I'm going to say its effective, well use it in the morning and apply pea size on each cheek and another pea size on forehead and on chin and smooth it in affected area.

Yes it can be used in conjunction with retina a. I have acne that become as big as a mosquito bite. I have tried to hide it by using a bandage. I have had enough of having two white headed pimples. Therefore I went to a dermatologist. I told him I was using Rein A and he suggested that I use Clindamycin at bed time along with the retin a. Directions that were given to me were use the retin a as directed by applying a small amount onto face avoiding the eye areas. Then apply a small amount of the Clindamycin on top. I have used these for a month and have not had any large breakouts that I use to have.
