The first climax was caused by pressurized water below the surface boiling and therefore needing to escape; this is called a phreatic explosion (if you want to be all technical and clever). Domes collapsed because lava domes form fairly slowly as magma moves through a vent and accumulates around it. These steep-sided structures can reach a height of hundreds of meters and may become unstable, especially given underlying seismic activity. When a lava dome collapses, the results can be dramatic, including pyroclastic flows and columns of volcanic ash.The Pyroclastic flows were caused by sedimentary rocks and volcanic rocks flowing down the banks after they had been heated (the "flow" can consist of debris and hot gases). The final eruption was because in the magma chamber the pressure of the magma got too hot and built up, it then got too hot to be down under the Earth's Crust and had to explode. Out of the Soufriere Hills there was no lava or magma bombs but there was ash and about 2km of plume in the air.

I dunno, really. It's a composite volcano, formed on a convergent plate boundary and has violent eruptions. I think. But I wouldn't trust me, because I'm neither an expert nor a doctor. I'm just a random kid trying to get their project done for science.

Yes, I can. The processes that are occurring to cause Soufriere Hills to erupt is that deep inside Earth there is magma. Then, the magma is forced upward because it is less dense than rock. The rock forces the less dense magma slowly toward the surface of the Earth.

More than a decade ago, Harry Potter burst onto the public consciousness, and pop culture hasn't been the same ever since. Author J. K. Rowling created an enchanting world populated by magical people and creatures, and Harry Potter is its most recognizable resident. Hence, while all types of characters from her books are popular, Harry remains a particular favorite. Fortunately, he has a very iconic look that is easy to achieve.

While Harry Potter is an ordinary boy before he arrives at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and he often wears plain clothes at various points in his later adventures, when he is at school, it is most common for him to wear a plain black robe. These are not difficult to find. You may even be able to borrow one from a choir room. The robe should be fairly long, but not so lengthy as to be a trip hazard during trick-or-treating.

Another essential element of any Harry Potter costume is the wand. For this, you can simply get any kind of stick-like object, like a baton or a drumstick or an actual stick. It should be something that isn't too sharp, since you don't want to worry about accidentally hurting someone. However, most any kind of stick will do. If you want to be really authentic, official Harry Potter wands are available for purchase.

If your child already wears glasses, they should do nicely. However, if not, all you need to do is get a cheap pair of fake glasses or contribute an old pair to the cause. It's probably best to remove the lenses in this case, since looking through prescription glasses when you don't need them can cause vision problems. Ideally, the glasses should have round lenses, but other styles will still probably get the point across. And what would Harry Potter be without his scar? His most distinct feature is the lightning bolt on his head, so be sure to draw one in with makeup or marker.

Harry is a truly enchanting and iconic character, and with a little work, anyone can be Harry Potter for the day.
