On 25 September, 1976, seven teenagers from Mount Temple Comprehensive School in Dublin met up in Larry Mullen's kitchen. Larry had posted an advert on the school bulletin board asking for fellow musicians. Three of these lads later dropped out (including Dik Evans, brother of The Edge), but the other four have been going strong ever since.
