Catholics believe that her life was simple and she lived without committing sin.

However all other Christians regard her simply as the mother of Jesus, who was still a virgin at His birth, but who obeted God in having the Christ Child. She then went on to have children by natural means as the gospels record many incidences of Jesus having natural brothers and sisters.
