How would ethical egoism deal with moral issue of abortion?

Answer:
It all depends on what the individual believes is best for him/herself. Thus an egoist may be for or against abortion, but it would be on a case-by-case basis.

A pregnant egoist may be for an abortion because she wants to take a holiday at a time when she would be 6 months pregnant; thus, she has an abortion. However, the egoist may consider possible health issues or (unlikely) guilt feelings after an abortion (or the desire for a child) and so does not have an abortion in spite of wanting to go on holiday.

The crux is what the individual believes will be best for her/him.
