Depends on what your goals are. There are transferable skills though that might apply to any goal and can be put on your resume or college application. Maybe it will help you to work well under pressure, maybe you will have experience rendering first aid, maybe as an intern you will have duties not normally associated with fire fighting like keeping records or data entry.

Think in terms of the real experience you had versus the idealistic feeling you had prior to starting as an intern. The real experience taught you many things I would assume. Team goals, life's unfairness, those in need, dependency on others (other fireman) in the house. All these experiences help in some way preparing you for your next job.
