Neither a wooden frame or a metal frame is better than the other. The decision really comes down to the personal taste of the person doing the purchasing.
Plastic Reeds are better than Wooden ones for Marching Band, but they make you sound a little different. Most people say more "hollow", but i would only use a Plastic reed if you are in marching...
I would think a fiberglass boat is better than a wooden boat because a wooden one can rot and would be hevy to move weres the fiberglass boat wont rot and is light so would be easy to move.
