Check the audio cable to make sure it is connected correctly and securely. It also might be that the TV does not have a sound bar so a surround sound system needs to be purchased though that is doubtful.

Why does my Car subwoofer produce no sound?

I have a mutant CD player, Sony xplod 800w subwoofer and a SPLX 800 amplifier. These are all connected, I have power and ground connected, the lights are lit up on the amplifier. Also the subwoofer has "life", I can hear when it turns on and off, but no sound is played through it when I put music on. Is this a problem with the CD player headunit or the connection from that to the amp? Thanks!

Can front and rear speakers connect to the one output of DVD player?

No, the output of most DVD players are analog stereo (front channel only) or digital optical or coaxial. The DVD player must be connected to a surround sound receiver, and then the front and rear speakers can be connected to that.

Do you need a sound caaard to get audio from DVDs on windows media pllayer?

if your motherboard has a build in sound card (which is most these days) then no. If you are not getting any sound at all, then your sound device is likely configured wrong, you can access it through the control panel. If it is just DVD's that dont play sound then the problem is probably with windows media player. Try downloading VLC media player and play the DVD with that.
