you have to go to the research area(on the side bar) and bring up more money so then you'll unlock more items
if I'm not correct i might be thinking of zoo tycoon for PC other wise this should work
OR! if you haven't tried this yet.... go to where you buy a new animal and there should be a tab where it says toys if not I'm still probably thinking of zoo tycoon PC
