You may have done what I did. There's a couple of arrows at the top bar of the playlist, like where it has the categories, Name, Time, Artist, etc. All The way to the left there are two arrows, one points to the right and one points down. One of these may have gotten clicked. Try clicking on the down one. I did that and the listings went back into the order I had had them in and I am now, once again, free to move the songs around in the playlist. Hope this helps!!
They might have accidentally gotten deleted from just your iTunes library so check your documents and see if the actual file is there.
