Sounds like it's not getting fuel. Could the tank be empty? Frozen or plugged fuel filter?
it could also be a carburetor problem
It might be a cooling problem such as the thermostat. I think you should get the cooling system checked. Something is causing it to overheat.
I have the same problem whit my Honda fourtrax 300 1992. I think that its related to the carburetor but I'm not sure though...
I think you will find that this truck is fuel injected and has no carburetor. If I am wrong and it has a carburetor it is mounted on top of the engine dead center on the intake manifold.
I think its just fuel evaporating. No big deal. U might want to have a friend who knows about cars take a look at it. But it shouldnt be a problem or anything
I am having the same problem with my 1.6 L but i think i have isolated it to the MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR / AIR INTAKE SENSOR. Did you get yours fixed? What did you end up replacing?
I think you mean cyanide the poison, it shuts down the nervous system, which in turn shuts down the brain, and the vital organs.
We are having the same problem and my husband think is the fuel pump. Did you have a new key made for the Truck? If so that's your problem. If you need a spare key you'll have to go to your Ford dealer to have it made otherwise your vehicle will start then shut off quickly. It's just a security issue, there is a small sensor chip in the black part of the stock key.
The first thing to think about that would be- is the battery fully charged? And if that's not the problem, then it is most likely a software issue, and that gets very detailed.
START: Define the problem (I am not asking you here. I mean: DEFINE exactly what the problem is. Write it down or think it through WHAT the problem consists of, in as much detail as possible)
You start hyperventilating I think
Not sure what engine you have but it probably has TBI (throttle body injection) not a carburetor. I think the last year for the carburetor was 1985. Give us more info on the engine.
