I got a 92 camaro i drove it home and when i popped the hood on the top right side of the radiator it was steaming and a little bit of water it didn't have antifreeze i put some in and it stop is it o?

You'ld better not if your cooling water is low because this wil cause the motor to overheat after some time. But it is ok to just refill the cooling system with ordinary water without anti freeze and drive with that for some time until you get new anti freeze.

What do you check when your car engine gets hot?

Even when you think all the air is out which you will see bubbling leave it the full twenty minutes. **Never remove the radiator cap unless the engine is cold or running. Removing the radiator cap from a hot engine after turning it off can result in extremely hot liquid spraying out.**
