I have a 97 cavalier worked the other day then wouldn't start fuel pump wouldn't kick in So i replaced that Now the starter will not work and the pump doesnt kick in any suggestions?

I tried crossing it over and it will work that way. Is it possible somehow when i push the clutch something isn't working letting it start?,,, someone said something about the fusible link, which i think has already been taken out, is there n thing else i could try?

i tried it all it did was backfire still wouldnt start Spray the starter fluid into the air filter intake. If it backfires and will not start you have a problem that needs to be fixed.
