I have an advent 7211 laptop running on Vista and my speakers have a crackly sound. However when I use headphones or external speakers there is no problem.Any ideas how to fix it?

Try updating the driver for your audio setup. A good tool for this is Drivermax from innovative solutions.
If this fails, you can go to the sound options in control panel and press the 'set to default' button unless you know what to do.
If this fails, take your computer to a technician unless you know how to remove the soundcard and speakers, reseat them, or replace them (unadvisable unless you know what you are doing).

If by this you mean how does the audio quality compare between the iPod and the iPad, the iPad has better speakers, however the quality is the same using headphones or an external portable speaker.

This laptop does come with standard internal speakers, however it would not come with external speakers.

Question might be old, but I did the exact same thing. The computer speakers usually have an input for a wire that connects to the pc. U can however, buy headphones to rca adapter, whichever cost anywhere from six to fifteen dollars depeneding whereby go. It's really really simple. The headphones to rcaline will plug right into the back of the tv (not to mention speakers.) O added a lot of bass to my tv with the computer speakers I usedc its pretty sweet now.

Yes, the FM Radio is free! But you have to plug in headphones to make the radio work because the LG Chocolate Touch uses the wires of the headphones as an antenna. However, you still have the option of listening through the phone's speakers instead of the headphone's speakers... as long as some sort of headphones are at least plugged into the headphone slot (even broken headphones would work! as long as there is still wire going into the phone's headphone slot)! If they are for hearing then its output device as they are not putting anything in to the computer, if they have a microphone attached as well then they are input/output (i.e. microphone is input, speakers are output)

Actually you can. Only if you insert an AUX wire into where the headphones go, and connect it to a car AUX connection. But you cannot play music without connecting anything into the headphone slot, only Ipod touche can do that.
