Search in the last places you had your iPod Touch in.
If you do not find it there, contact all of your friends to keep an eye out for it.
Turn your house upside down searching for it if you really want to find it.
If you still do not find it, then you are going to be out of luck.
I would probably take it into the apple store and get some tech guys to take a look at it and see if it is covered by the warranty. Or you could try putting it into DFU mode and resetting it by holding down the home and lock button until it starts to turn on the remove your finger from the lock button and wait until it comes up with the plug into iTunes logo then plug into iTunes wait and see if it picks it up if not then unplug and plug back in or repeat all the steps.
Hope I could help.
White Screen: If you have an white screen of death (White screen of death will freeze up your iPod and it will turn white if you go on bad sites, or drop your ipod too many times),
Try pressing the home screen and the power button for 10 seconds or until Apple Logo appears.
If it does not appear, Restore it on your iTunes.
If that does not work, Leave your battery running.
If that does not work, you will need to get a new ipod
Cracked: get a new one
Dropped in water: Put it in a small zip lock bag filled with rice rice immediately for a full 24 hours

Yes, an iPod Touch can crash. Though not normally on their own (but they can do it on their own), it is usually because of faulty equipment working with the iPod that makes it crash.
that has happened to me thousands of times you just delet the app wait atleast a day and then get it again you might have to spend an extra dollar but atleast your game works then
