If you didn't hear your knee pop, then the most likely cause of your pain is a Lateral Meniscus Tear, which is very common in sports and athletic activities like yours where you're putting extended pressure on the knee.

If it still hurts after a week, and you've done the usual RICE stuff (Raise it, Ice it, etc.) then you really need to see an Orthopedist and get an MRI or plain film X-Ray done to determine the extent of the damage.

You probably don't feel like it anyway, but just in case the urge is too great, don't be going back out and putting more pressure on your knee or you'll wind up with damage that may be with you the rest of your life. You're young now and can heal fairly quickly if it's treated properly right away, but if you don't let it heal properly you could be worse off down the road as you get older.

Take care of it until you can get a doctor's opinion.
